ABOUT JIMI
I began drumming at age 13 after becoming increasingly inspired by many of the great rock, prog-rock and jam-band drummers of the latter twentieth century. In 2007 I attended Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California and graduated in 2009 with an Associate of Arts degree while also earning the Achievement Award for Most Outstanding Student in the Drum Program. My two years in LA were full of amazing experiences, and I gained invaluable relationships and insights that have helped me grow and evolve into the musician I am today.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of performing and recording with local bands and artists across many genres of music. In 2017 an excellent post-hardcore metal band I was in called Sorrowset released their debut album called All Ends, Begin with Ease, and I’m very proud of what we created together. I’m currently involved in a few local projects, so be sure to check the events page to see where I’ll be at next!
Playing drums and connecting with others through music is what fuels my passion, and I’m highly enthusiastic and motivated for whatever the future brings!
